India

India introduced its Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) facility on 27 November 2014 for 43 countries around the world which further expanded to 113 countries in August 2015. On 1 April 2017, Indian Government announced its e-Visa system under three categories- e-Tourist Visa for visiting friends and family or sightseeing purposes, e-Business Visa for business related visits and e-Medical Visa for short term medical treatments. The visa has the validity of 60 days from the date of your arrival in India and can be issued only two times in one calendar month. The entry is permitted only through 25 designated airports and 5 seaports. Now, India provides its e-Visa facility to over 160 countries in the world.

Documents Required for Indian eVisa Online / Visa on arrival / ETA / Invite letters

1- Scanned color copies of your passport:

  • Passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival.
  • Size of Passport : not more than 3 MB.
  • Passport copy should be clear and colored 
  • It should be in PDF, JPG or PNG forma

2- A recent digital photograph of the applicant.

Photo Specification

  • Size of photo: 35mm by 45mm.
  • Color: Only color photos that can be scanned or digital.
  • Head size and position: 50% of the photo should be filled with the head. The head should be squared off with the camera.
  • Recent Photo: Photo taken should not be older than 6 months.
  • The background of the photo should be either white or soft colored. It must have no designs. Only plain photos are allowed
  • When taking photos, the mouth should be kept close and the face relaxed. Smiling photos are not allowed.
  • Photos should have eyes open and fixed at the camera.
  • Individuals can put on glasses only when it is worn regularly and do not block the eyes.
  • The dress code is casual. Military uniforms, law enforcement, and any other uniform are prohibited.
  • Keeping of beards is optional base on individual preference.

  • Visa processing requires an invitation letter from the Company which justifies the purpose of travel.

India Tourist visa
are available for following validity options:-

  • 30 days India Tourist e Visa (Double Entry)
  • 1 year India Tourist e Visa  (Multiple Entries)
  • 5 years India Tourist e Visa (Multiple Entries)

Note:- 1 year and 5 years visa validity will, Continuous stay during each visit shall not exceed 90 days for countries except USA, UK, Canada and Japan. For the USA , UK, Canada and Japan continuous stay during each visit shall not exceed 180 days.

India  Business Visa:-

  • 365 days (1 year) from the date of grant of ETA (Multiple Entry)
  • Continuous stay during each visit shall not exceed 180 days.

India Medical Visa:-

  • 60 days from the date of arrival (Triple Entry)
  • Continuous stay during each visit shall not exceed 60 days
  • You can obtain an India Medical e visa three times per year

India Medical Attendent Visa:-

  • 60 days from the date of arrival into India (Triple Entry)
  • Continuous stay during each visit shall not exceed 60 days
  • You can obtain an India Medical Attendent e visa three times per year

India Conference Visa:-

  • 30 days from the date of arrival into India. (Single Entry)

Visa Exempt Countries List

The travellers of following countries do not required Visa to India. However, for long stay or employment may require a visa.

1. Indian e-Visa allows entry only through 25 designated Airports (Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Chandigarh, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam) and 5 designated seaports (Cochin, Chennai, Goa, Mangalore and Mumbai).

2. Visitors can exit from any of the authorized Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) in India.

3. You need to carry a yellow fever vaccination card at the time of arrival in India if you are a citizen of Yellow Fever affected country.
