Indonesia requires visitors to obtain a visa to enter the country. In October 2020, the Indonesian government introduced the e-Visa to simplify the visa application process and reduce wait times.   1. Tourist Visa: This visa is issued to foreign nationals who want to visit Indonesia for tourism or leisure activities. It is valid for up to 30 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days.

  2. Business Visa: This visa is issued to foreign nationals who want to visit Indonesia for business purposes such as attending meetings, conferences, or negotiating contracts. It is valid for up to 60 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days.

  3. Social-Cultural Visa: This visa is issued to foreign nationals who want to visit Indonesia for cultural or social activities such as attending seminars, workshops, or cultural events. It is valid for up to 60 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days.

  4. Transit Visa: This visa is issued to foreign nationals who are transiting through Indonesia to another country. It is valid for up to 7 days and cannot be extended.

Long-stay Visa: 

A long-stay visa allows visitors to stay in Indonesia for more than 60 days. There are different types of long-stay visas:

  1. Study Visa: The study visa is for those who wish to study in Indonesia. It allows for a stay of up to one year and can be extended for the duration of the course.

  2. Work Visa: The work visa is for those who wish to work in Indonesia. It allows for a stay of up to one year and can be extended up to four times, each time for one year.

Indonesia Visa Requirements

To apply for an Indonesia visa, foreign nationals must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Passport: The passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Indonesia.

  2. Photographs: Two recent passport-size photographs are required.

  3. Proof of Travel: Applicants must provide proof of their travel itinerary, including flight tickets and hotel reservations.
