Argentina Transit Visa
By Nedumanile Francis, Robin For Argentina Sep 12,2025Good morning Sir/Madam,
I have an Indian passport, planning for Cruise ship voyage from Chile via Ushuaia, Argentina to Chile. I have a valid US Tourist Visa B1/B2, Canadian Tourist Visa and Schengen Visa in my passport. Kindly advise if i still need to apply for Argentinean Visa before my travel.

Hello Robin, I recently looked into a similar situation for my own travels. Unfortunately, holding US, Canadian, or Schengen visas does not automatically exempt Indian passport holders from needing an Argentine visa. Indian citizens are generally required to obtain a visa to enter Argentina, whether by air, land, or as part of a cruise itinerary. Since your cruise involves a stop in Ushuaia, Argentina, it’s very likely that immigration rules will apply, and you may need a valid Argentine visa before your trip. I’d recommend checking directly with the Argentine embassy/consulate or your cruise line, as they usually provide guidance on mandatory visas for each port of call. Contact details of the embassy can be found here: https://visa-to-travel.com/embassy-and-consulate/worldwide Better to get clarity in advance so you don’t face any issues while boarding. Safe travels on your cruise!
