Entry to Panama as Dominican Passport Holder with Permanent Residency in Sint Maarten

By Anna Morales   For Panama Apr 21,2025

Dear Panama Embassy Team,

My name is Anna Morales, and I currently reside in Sint Maarten with permanent residency. I hold a Dominican Republic passport and would like to visit Panama this July for tourism purposes.

I am seeking clarification on whether I need a visa to enter Panama, given my current status. I do not hold a U.S., Canada, UK, Schengen, or Australian visa or residency — only my Dominican passport and permanent residency in Sint Maarten.

If a visa is required, could you kindly confirm whether it is possible to obtain the visa sticker without traveling to a Panamanian embassy in another country such as the Dominican Republic? If not, I would like to know the steps and documents needed to apply and how far in advance I should begin the process to meet my planned travel date.

I have the following documents ready:
• Valid Dominican Republic passport
• Sint Maarten permanent residency card
• Proof of income and financial solvency
• Travel itinerary and accommodation bookings (in progress)

I appreciate your assistance and hope to receive a response soon, as I am planning my travel for July.

Warm regards,
Anna Morales
