ERROR MESSAGE WHEN WRITING PERMANENT ADDRESS ON E-VISA APPLICATION
By Clarissa For Egypt Apr 15,2023I get an error message when I write my permanent address on the Egypt evisa form even though I followed instructions in terms of special characters/punctuation, spacing. The error message says:
"Invalid characters detected in your input, the format of the input is not valid or check that no extra spaces at the begining or at the end of your input."
HELP!

Address doesn’t work after 3 hrs of every fix suggested. Phone worked with a + at beginning. Date of birth and current nationality under applicants did not open . Get this form to DOGE 19 yr old to fix.
Capital letter without ending with numbers seems to have solved my address problem. But NOW I'm getting the message "Single application can only have a single applicant" What???
Glad I found this. I tried all caps first but it didn't work so I deleted my zip code. Someone mentioned not ending the address with a number which is why I took out the zip code. It worked fine once I did that.
I have a double barrel name and it will not accept the dash in the name so finally did it without the dash. It got rejected as it now does not match the passport. No clue what to do now. Waiting to see if they respond with any support. Not hopeful.
Don't end the address with numbers! End it with letters.
I can confirm : I put my hotel address in capital letters and it worked just fine :)
I was having the same issue, and finally, I entered my full address in all capital letters (upper case) and it was accepted right away.
Tried so many things and i think i found the trick - main issue with me was i kept ending with numbers and that doesn't work. I added United States after the zip code and finally worked. also check to make sure you don't have any special characters including dots so no abbreviations.
I did one application and the address was accepted but I made a mistake so had to start again, but this time I cannot get it to accept no matter what I do
I am having the same issue will not accept the address tried everything under the sun
I just entered United States of America and it finally worked.
Same issue and i can see this issue has been going on for more than 5 years, so probably since e-visa was introduced. Don't think they plan on fixing it anytime soon. I have tried my address with, without spaces, definitely no commas, not ending in numbers and all sorts of advice offered on here. Nothing has worked!
I figured out the address but it is the phone number I can’t get past. I’ve tried just numbers no spaces, with spaces, short, long, it won’t take anything!!!
My solution is to put in as little information as necessary. I’ve just done 2 visas - the first took ages. I deleted everything, started again and just put house number and street and district and nothing else. No commas, no postcode. Both went straight through thereafter!!
Wow! Think my Chrome browser was the problem! After some hours of struggle I switched to Edge and it all went smooth without warnings at all...
I wrote out the country after the zip code for USA and it finally went though finally.
Anyone have got a solution for this? I tried to contact them via the contact form, but guess what, same problem : I could not send a message, getting this warning -Invalid characters detected in your message/inquiry.
I just put the name of the country and that worked
What solved the problem of the permanent address being rejected for me was using just "United States of America" - as that is what is on my passport (my travel document).
Anyone had any success as I’m having the same problem only spaces no characters and won’t accept it at any cost
I added the name of my home country after the postal code and that worked.
"Do not finish address with numbers"
I was having the same issue. Struggled for 3 hours, following worked for me: -Do not use any character except Alphabets and Numbers, blank space is acceptable (not in the beginning or end of the address) -Keep it in single line -Do not finish address with numbers (This was EUREKA moment for me :D) I hope this works for you guys as well.
After trying a few times, I found the solution. They do not allow dots, commas or even hyphens. If you replace all the corresponding places with spaces, the input is completed. Also, after entering your address, there is also a screen where you can enter your accommodation, so please try entering spaces there as well. I got my visa after 26 hours.
Same problem for me, I have tried without spaces, dots or commas... Nothing seems to be working, any solution?
I am filling it as we speak and same issue. Tried many tricks but just unwilling to accept the address. Baffles my mind that this is a country's website we are talking about.
I am also currently facing the same issue. This is probably a system designed by a low level engineer.
Same issue over and over again! Do they plan on fixing it?
Same here I’ve already had one application declined that I had paid for Not sure why not accepting my address again
I’m having trouble as well. I have tried just about everything
I have the same problem, is there a solution already?
Same issue here
I’m facing the same issue as well. Were you able to solve this issue? Please let me know! Thank you
I am having the same trouble. It seems to be a glitch on their system.
