By Professor Dr M A Bashar For Oman Oct 13,2025I am a Bangladeshi citizen live and work in Malaysia. I wish to visit my daughter in Mascat, Oman on 1st week of November for two weeks on my own expense. How to process for visit visa? I will appreciate your advice.

Hi Bashar, As far as I know, Bangladeshi citizens cannot apply for an Oman visit visa online. You’ll need to apply through the Embassy of Oman in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Your daughter in Muscat can also help by arranging a visa sponsorship for you through the Royal Oman Police in Oman. Once it’s approved there, you’ll receive the visa reference number or a copy that you can use to travel. I’d recommend contacting the Oman Embassy in Kuala Lumpur directly to confirm the latest process and required documents — they usually ask for your passport, residence permit copy, invitation from your family member, and proof of relationship.
