Travel to bosnia with USA tourist Visa
By Owaynie Brown For Bosnia and Herzegovina Jul 30,2025Good day,
I am a Jamaican citizen, and I want to travel to Bosnia. I was informed if I have a tourism visa from the USA, I don't need to get a visa itself from the Bosnian embassy. Could this be confirmed, and if yes, do I need some paper so I don't have any issue at the airport?

Hello Owaynie, I looked into this a while back since I had a similar situation. Yes, Jamaican citizens can enter Bosnia and Herzegovina without a separate Bosnian visa if they already hold a valid multiple-entry U.S. visa or a Schengen visa. The key points are: 1. Your U.S. visa must be valid at the time of entry and throughout your stay. 2. You should carry your passport with the visa and any supporting travel documents (like return ticket, hotel booking, or proof of funds), since border officers may ask to see them. I didn’t need to apply for anything extra from the Bosnian embassy, and I didn’t have any problems at the airport. Just make sure your U.S. visa is still valid and keep your travel documents handy. Safe travels!
