South Sudan eVisa

1. Application Information

Issued to persons whose nationalities require a visa to enter South Sudan either for Tourism, Visit, Medical, Business Visa or Work.

  • The electronic visa (e-Visa) for South Sudan is a digitally issued travel permit obtained by submitting an online application. It grants the holder the permission to enter and travel within the country.
  • The e-Visa system of South Sudan was implemented in 2020 amidst the Coronavirus pandemic to let foreign citizens apply for the visa without coming to a South Sudan embassy in person.
  • Travellers can use the South Sudan e-Visa to enter the country by air (via Juba International Airport), by the river, or by land.
  • The following are the border crossings that you can use to enter South Sudan:

Requirements for South Sudan Evisa

  1. All foreign nationals travelling to South Sudan in 2021 will have to upload a negative COVID-19 test result because of the pandemic. This requirement will last only until the pandemic persists.
  2. It is one of the mandatory requirements that applicant must have proof of sufficient funds to support their trip to South Sudan.
  3. The supporting documents required will vary according to the type of visa. Such as, if applying for a business or work visa, the applicant may need to provide a Letter of Invitation and a Recommendation Letter from the Employer. Those applying for tourist visa do not need to provide them.

  • Avoid errors at all costs because minor mistakes or inconsistencies will lead to delaying or rejecting your e-Visa application.
