Pakistan enables the foreign missionaries to apply for the Missionary e-Visa. This visa category is specifically for Christians who want to enter the country for missionary work.

Eligibility Criteria

Pakistan allows citizens from 191 countries to apply for Pakistan Visa online through its Pakistan Online Visa System. Therefore, a foreigner who is a Christian by religion belonging to any of these eligible countries can apply for the Missionary Visa.

The missionary e-Visa has a validity of 1 year, and if you request, your e-Visa can be extended for one year. Ensure when you are applying for an extension visa, you must possess a valid Pakistani e-Visa, and you must be residing in Pakistan at that time.

The visa processing time will take approximately four weeks (working days).

Pakistan Missionary Visa Documents Required:

You must upload following Pakistan documents requirement in the application form:

• Photographs
• Passport
• Invitation letter from the Hotel (you will be staying at)
• Invitation Letter from the missionary organization.

Please note that only the invitation letter from the registered missionaries working in Pakistan are accepted.

How To Avoid Visa Rejection

You may start boiling when you are all set for your visit but an email notification pops up, giving you the news of your Pakistan visa rejection. If you want to avoid stepping into such a situation, carefully read all the reasons for visa rejection given below.

Be Truthful:

Your visa gets rejected in case of any misinformation. Do not create any vagueness or loophole in your data provided. The authorities will make all ways possible to verify your data.

Visa Type:

In some cases, you have filled the complete form correctly, but your visa still gets rejected. This visa-refusal is because of the visa type you have selected.

Check out the list of all visas offered by the country and compare it with your purpose of visit. Select the visa type that matches best with your reason for the visit.

In case you are a missionary, you must select Missionary e-Visa.

Submitting Incomplete Documents

Another reason your visa can be denied is that you do not submit all required documents. Or improper attestation of your documents can also create troubles in your visa process (where applicable).

Errors Faced In Application Process:

Filling All Entries:

You must not skip any field marked with an * (asterisk). If you do so, you will be redirected to the same page repeatedly until you provide information for all such fields.

Filling entries with no asterisk will increase your chances of getting a visa as it helps the authorities to make better decisions.

The Visa Category, Visa Subcategory And Visa Type Error

When you have filled in the information on the first page of your application, and you click next, you may receive this error:

The combination of visa category, visa subcategory and application type is currently not allowed.

If you receive such an error, you should try selecting a different Visa Subcategory, or another Visa-Type, and plan your visit accordingly.

Passport Expiry Issue:

Your form will not proceed to the next step if your passport has expired in less than 6 months as the system calculates the number of days left in the expiry of your passport from the date of issuance and expiry you provided in the form.

Invalid File Type:

If you try to upload the file of your supporting documents in a format other than JPG, JPEG, PNG, or PDF, you will receive this error. Upload the file in the required format to remove this error.

Note: You can upload photographs in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format only. While supporting documents can be uploaded as PDF too.

Unable To Detect Face / Eyes:

You might get the error Unable to detect your face/eyes upon uploading your photograph. To remove this error, you need to recapture your image that clearly shows your face and all physical features.

Instruction For Uploading Of Documents:

Adhere to the given instructions for successful uploading of your photographs and other documents.

• Allowed formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG, and PDF.
• Your photograph should not be taken more than six months before.
• Background must be white.
• The dimensions of your photograph must be 45mm by 35 mm.
• • The length from the top of your head to the bottom of the chin should be at least 34 mm.
  • The dimension of your frontal face should be at least 29mm.
• The file size of your document should not exceed 7MB. If this happens, you will not be able to upload your documents successfully. You can try different file size compressing tools to get the low file size (lesser than 7 MB).
• The photographs of supporting documents taken from a mobile camera or digital camera are acceptable.

However, we recommend scanning your documents with any scanner or any application. Make sure that everything written on the supporting document is visible on your captured photograph or scanned file.
