Sri Lanka has taken a giant leap to promote its tourism industry with the announcement of free, visa-on-arrival to its citizens of 35 countries, starting from October 1, 2024. It would enable travelers to spend up to 30 days in this country, free of cost of visa fees, thereby facilitating international visitors touring the island nation and thus making it cheaper and easier.
